March is one of the best months to be in Mesa – the weather is ideal and the city has a genuinely solid lineup of events this year. Here’s what’s worth showing up for, with everything you need to plan ahead.
March 7 : Sunland Arts & Crafts Spring Event (Free)
Sunland Village | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM | Free admission
A free outdoor art and craft show featuring fine art, handmade goods, and live music on two outdoor stages throughout the day. No food vendors on site, so grab a bite before you head over.
March 13–15 : Tasty Nights Street Food Festival
Arizona Athletic Grounds, 6321 S Ellsworth Rd | Fri–Sun, 2:00–10:00 PM | Tickets online only
This is the marquee event of the month. A traveling national street food festival with curated food vendors, live DJs, a makers market, and family-friendly activities across three nights. Kids 5 and under are free. One important note: there are no door sales — tickets are online only, so don’t wait.
March 13 : ALT Fest at Mesa Arts Center (Free)
1 E. Main Street | 6:00–10:00 PM | Free admission
On the same Friday that Tasty Nights kicks off, Mesa Arts Center hosts ALT Fest — a free evening of interactive art installations, augmented reality experiences, live music, and open studio demos. Food is available on site. If you’re already heading out that Friday, this is an easy and worthwhile first stop.
March 21 : Made by Crafters Market
Mesa Convention Center, 263 N Center St | 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
A morning market showcasing independent artists and local makers. Low-key, community-focused, and a great way to shop local on a Saturday morning.
March 21 : Mew-seum Cat Fest 2026 (Free)
Mesa Historical Museum, 2345 N Horne | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Free, including museum entry
Yes, your cat is welcome. Now in its third year, this free community event features DIY cat toy crafts, adoption opportunities, educational talks, local vendors, food trucks, and the Karen Kuykendall cat art exhibit. Since the Crafters Market wraps at 3:00 PM and Cat Fest runs until 4:00 PM, you can comfortably do both in one trip.
A Few Things to Know Before You Go
Buy Tasty Nights tickets this week — no door sales, and it will sell out. Bring a jacket for evening events; March nights in Mesa cool down more than you’d expect. And if you’re planning March 21, hit the Crafters Market first, then head to Cat Fest to finish the day.
From all of us at Farnsworth Realty & Management — enjoy the month. Mesa earns it this time of year.
