Along with thinking about ideals, you’ll want to also consider if/when you’ll need in-home care or other help.
While thinking about what you’re wanting, be sure to take your budget into account. What is realistic? What can you afford?

Start looking at areas you could live that fit what you’re needing/wanting from your retirement. Are you wanting to move far away from where you are now?
Look at some retirement communities or just some real estate options in the area(s) you’re considering.

Once you’ve narrowed down some options, go check out these areas.
Be aware of when the best and worst times of the year are for these areas. Do you like what the communities offer? What does the cost of living look like? Can you afford it?
